Worst. Blogger. Ever.

Man, I suck. :( I can't believe it has been so long since I've blogged. Life has been insane to say the least. I have been struggling with postpartum depression after this last baby which has brought up a ton of other emotional issues that are being dealt with. Therapy is GREAT! My husband also lost his job in February, so that's been another struggle we've been going through. He did just get a new job starting June 1st. Yay! The kids are growing big. I'm trying to get a grip on life and growing as well. It's been a crazy journey, but a long over-due one. Life will be better for all on the other end. I will try to be better about posting more regularly, but no promises. I've converted to the lazy blogger that is facebook. (I am THOROUGHLY addicted!) Happy summer to you all!

My Lovely Week

Okay, so I'm a little late on this post, but I had the week from H-E double hockey sticks a couple weeks ago. And I must record it for posterity.

It all started on Friday, January 30th. Little baby A was really fussy all day. I finally thought that she might be hot. She was in a footed sleeper. So I took it off and happened to look at her tiny toes and they were purple! There was a hair (from my head) wrapped super tightly around 3 of her little piggies. I was able to get some of it off, but not all of it. Her toes were very swollen around the hair and I couldn't get to it to free her toes of it. We tried EVERYTHING...safety pin, cuticle cutter, Nair, scissors, comb. But the skin was just too swollen around it to get to it. I called the doctor and the nurse on call told me that if we had tried everything, we would need to take her to the emergency room to remove it. A friend found info on the web about toe tourniquet syndrome. Crazy! Who knew???

So we headed over to the minor ER where the doctor had to cut 2 of her little toes. It was so sad! :( We were told that if they didn't look better the next day, we needed to bring her back in. We watched the toes the next day. One looked better, but one was still very red. So back to the ER she went. (The same doctor was there as the night before). He examined the toe and was able to see that the circulation was just fine. Phew! So now her toes are fine, just a few new scars.

The next day (Saturday), I came down with strep. Nice. I felt like crap. Luckily, the doctor's office was open and I was able to get antibiotics right away. Sunday, I rested. Monday, hubby came down with strep. Lovely! He had a really bad case of it and was in bed for 3 days straight!

Wednesday, Baby A went in for her 2 month check up and shots. Not fun. :( And K came down with strep that day as well. It just keeps getting better! As I was pulling into the grocery store to pick up her antibiotics, I get a call from the school nurse. She found nits (lice eggs) in B's hair. Are you freakin' kidding me?!?!?!

By Wednesday, I had had barely any sleep because of sick everybodies. I was so physically exhausted, it was ridiculous! We got the lice treatment at the grocery store and headed home. I bagged up all the stuffed animals, blankets, etc. Washed all the laundry that was covering the floor. Vacuumed like a mad woman. I was about to drop dead. So much work for such little bugs. So annoying!!!

Luckily, hubby was feeling a little better by this point and was able to help with the lice treatment of the kids. Thank goodness! Oh...and my monthly visitor decided to make its appearance Wednesday night too. Woohoo!!!!

So Thursday, we were trying to recover. Friday, G came down with strep. The doctor was VERY nice and called in the antibiotic for us. One less trip to the doctor.

It was an INSANE week!  One thing after the other.  But we survived.  Barely, but we did.  

Now 2 weeks later, baby A is sick, hubby is sick and I'm getting sick again too.  We are in a sick monsoon I guess.  :)

My Girls

I've been a terrible blogger.  I'm not on the computer any less which would be a good excuse for not blogging.  I just have been bad.  :(  Blame it on Facebook.  

Here is Little A.  She's 2 months old now.  So cute!

B tried to curl her hair with a comb.  Bad idea.  Such a mess!  Luckily, we didn't have to cut her hair to get it out.  The comb is in tiny pieces though now.

Our little Aggie!  So cute!  She even has little A&M socks on, but of course I didn't get them in the picture.  
Bow head!  My friend Tracy is a bowmaker and had a ton of her bows on sale, so we stocked up.  
Don't worry.  G is still with us.  I haven't killed him....yet.  Just kidding. He's a little terror, but a stinkin' cute one.  He loves the vacuum.  He even dreams about them.  He woke up the other night saying "No more vacuum."

Waiting

Today I was scheduled to go in to be induced. I was to report to the hospital at 6am. I received a phone call at 4:45am telling me that they didn't have space and would call me in a couple hours when space became available. It's 9am, and still no call. :( My computer is still out of commission, so I'm having to use the girls' computer. Better than nothing I guess. So right now, I'm just waiting for the call to tell me I can come to the hospital. I'll be posting updates on the blog as soon as this little girl is born, so make sure to check back often. :) (And leave me tons of comments to entertain me while I'm waiting.)


UPDATE: I called around 10am and was told that the earliest it would be would be this afternoon sometime. I just hope I get in today. :)

Are you KIDDING me????

My computer has crashed. Dead. It won't start up. I've tried everything on the Apple website. Nada. So it has to go to the Apple store. Talk about crappy timing! How am I supposed to update everyone when the baby is born? How am I supposed to make it through a boring hospital stay? I have addictions people! They need to be fed! Ugh! I am so bummed about this. :(

We have a date!

I had my doctor's appointment today. I'm now scheduled for an induction on the 25th just in case she doesn't come before then. :) Woohoo!!!! That's only 6 days away. I better get everything ready!

Update

I had my doctor appointment yesterday. The baby has not dropped yet, and the doctor doesn't think that she'll come before my next appointment on Wednesday, November 19th. I'm hoping I can disprove him. :) We'll see. I'm still having a ton of contractions, but nothing consistent. Guess it's time to walk a ton and do some jumping jacks. ;)

Yeah, I know he's not chubby anymore. :) But today is my boy's 2nd birthday! I can't believe he's already 2! He is just the most fun little guy! He is very expressive. He loves his sisters. He loves to have his picture taken (notice all his poses). We're so blessed to have this little guy in our family!

(Oh, the spot on his head is a month old mosquito bite that he won't stop picking at).
